Please check the following:
_Have you fully and correctly inserted a suitable BRITA CO2 cylinder?
_Is the seal on the cylinder valve present and correctly inserted?
_Is the carbonation nozzle free/descaled and correctly inserted?
_Have you filled the appropriate BRITA PET bottle with about 840 ml of water and screwed it in correctly?
If yes and it still doesn't work, then simply contact our customer service. Maybe you also have the purchase receipt and the purchase date of the device at hand.

You can buy all common CO₂ cylinders (425 g, with universal thread) in stores. Or here in our shop, you can get the BRITA CO₂ exchange box (linked to the CO₂ exchange box page): With it, you can easily exchange empty CO₂ cylinders for freshly filled ones by mail. This way, your carbonation supply is always secured. And the best part: It's not a subscription – only you determine the exchange timing!

We recommend always having spare cylinders at home so you can continue carbonating while exchanging your cylinder in stores. When storing your cylinders, consider the following points:
1. CO₂ is an odorless and colorless gas. It can explode under intense heat.
2. There is also a risk of suffocation in high concentrations and insufficient ventilation.
3. Avoid direct sunlight on cylinders.
4. Keep the ambient temperature below 50 degrees Celsius.
5. Ensure adequate ventilation in the surroundings.
6. Store cylinders upright.
7. Do not make any changes to the cylinder, such as piercing, etc.
8. Replace damaged cylinders immediately.
9. Store out of reach of children.
10. Do not refill the cylinders yourself.
Please follow these guidelines – BRITA is not liable for improper handling of the CO2 cylinder.

It is only recommended to use soda TRIO and sodaTRIO pro bottles. These fit perfectly into the device and we can only provide a warranty for their use.

Caution: sodaTRIO and sodaTRIO pro are not compatible with bottles from the BRITA water carbonator sodaONE. 

It is only recommended to carbonate still (filtered) tap water. Other drinks, such as juices, soft drinks or tap water containing syrups may cause damage to the appliance or lead to adverse health effects.

We recommend using BRITA CO₂ cylinders to sparkle your water. However, BRITA water carbonators can also be operated with commercially available 425 g CO₂ cylinders with a screw thread. Do not use larger or smaller cylinders than these under any circumstances!​

To return your empty BRITA CO₂ cylinder, you can try to hand it in at an exchange station inside a shop. Please ask at the checkout whether they also accept empty cylinders without the need to make an exchange.​

If not, you can return your empty BRITA CO₂ cylinder to us. We will gladly send you a free return label and a hazardous goods sticker for this purpose. Please ensure you pack the cylinder securely so that it is not damaged during transport. If you wish to do this, kindly contact our customer service representatives directly.​

Of course, disposal via a recycling centre is also possible.​

To clean your water carbonator, it's best to use a mild detergent and warm water. You can also use a bottle brush for the bottle. Simply wipe the surface of the device with a soft, damp cloth.

For light soiling – if you only filled water: 1. Fill the bottle halfway with warm water and add some detergent. 2. Close the bottle and shake it vigorously. 3. Let the bottle stand for a few minutes. 4. Rinse the bottle several times with clear water and let it dry thoroughly. 5. It is important, especially with light soiling, to always store the empty bottle open and dry – preferably upside down in a draining rack. For heavier soiling – e.g., when adding syrup, powder, etc., to the carbonated water: 1. If there are syrup residues or other residues in the bottle, you can clean them well with a suitable bottle brush and some detergent. Be sure to use brushes made of natural bristles, foam, or silicone to avoid scratching the bottle. 2. For stubborn soiling, you can also use vinegar cleaner or citric acid, which you should leave on for a while. Please observe the respective manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for dosage and exposure time.

First, remove the draining rack and twist the bottle out of the device if necessary. Then set the water carbonator aside. Turn the empty CO₂ cylinder counterclockwise at the bottom. Now remove the plastic film from the head valve of the new cylinder and unscrew the small closure cap. Do not throw away the cap but use it to seal the valve of the empty cylinder. Carefully slide the new cylinder from below into the water carbonator and twist it clockwise firmly. But not too tight, otherwise, the device or cylinder valve may be damaged. Stand the water carbonator upright again and put the draining rack back in.

When you purchase the water carbonator, it already comes with an initial CO₂ cylinder. If you want to return the empty cylinder, try it at an exchange station in stores. Just ask at the checkout if they accept empty cylinders without an exchange. If that's not possible, you can also send the empty BRITA CO₂ cylinder back to us. We will gladly provide you with a free return label and a hazardous goods label. Don't forget to securely pack the cylinder so that it doesn't break during transport. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service. The recycling center is also an option for disposing of the cylinder. If you purchased a 4-pack of reserve cylinders online in addition to the initial cylinder, send it back with the empty cylinders and get your deposit back.

Make sure to fill the water only up to the fill line in the bottle. Use only clear, fresh water and do not add syrup, vitamins, or powdered minerals. If you fill too much water or water with additives into the bottle, the drip tray overflows because the pressure directs the excess water into the overflow valve. Use only BRITA sodaONE bottles to ensure compatibility with the device. Screw the bottle in correctly and press the carbonation button for 1 to 3 seconds. Then release the button to allow the pressure to equalize. If the water still splashes or overflows, please contact our customer service.

First, check if the CO2 cylinder is screwed in properly and tight enough. If you're unsure, simply tighten it by hand again. Never use tools to avoid damaging the valve. Then take a sodaONE bottle, fill it to the fill line (approx. 840 ml), and screw it in. Now press the carbonation button all the way through (approx. 1-3 seconds). You should hear a distinct hissing sound and see bubbles when CO2 is pumped into the water from the carbonation nozzle. If you hear or see nothing, the CO2 cylinder is likely empty. No problem, you can easily exchange it in the store - usually at the checkout. You can also exchange it online with BRITA if you purchased the 4-pack reserve cylinders. You only pay for the refill. We recommend always having reserve cylinders at home so you can carbonate while exchanging the empty cylinder.

One BRITA CO₂ cylinder is sufficient for up to 60 liters of carbonated water. This depends on how you prefer your carbonation level and the temperature of the water. The higher your carbonation preference, the less water you can carbonate with one cylinder. For example, if you love very fizzy water, you can carbonate about 30 to 45 liters of water with one cylinder. If you prefer a medium to light carbonation level, you can carbonate up to 60 liters with one cylinder. The water temperature also significantly influences the amount of water to be carbonated. The colder the water, the easier it can absorb CO₂, allowing you to carbonate more with one cylinder.

First remove the cylinder. Tilt the sparkling water maker to the side and shine a light into the cylinder insert. Check whether there is a black rubber seal in the cylinder holder and whether it is centred.

No, the BRITA sodaONE water carbonator does not have a filtering function. This device carbonates tap water. However, for optimal taste and device protection, we recommend filtering tap water with a BRITA water filter before carbonating.

Fill the carbonator bottle to the fill line with cold drinking water (approx. 840 ml). Please use only fresh water and do not add additives such as syrup, powder, or the like. Then screw the bottle tightly into the sodaONE. Now press the button all the way down to carbonate the water. • For a light carbonation level, press the button for about 1 second. • For a medium carbonation level, press it for about 2 seconds. • For a higher carbonation level, press it for about 3 seconds. You will hear a distinct hissing sound – be sure to release the button. If you want more carbonation in your water, you can repeat this process. Once you have achieved your desired amount of carbonation, carefully unscrew the bottle. And now you can enjoy your carbonated water!

If the problem persists, remove the cylinder, tilt the water carbonator, and shine a light into the cylinder slot. Check if there is a black rubber seal in the cylinder holder and if it is centered. If the rubber seal is missing, please contact our customer service.

During the carbonation process, CO2 is introduced into the water under high pressure. Therefore, it is entirely normal to hear a hissing or gurgling sound. The sound becomes louder within about 3 seconds, but that's okay. You should release the button at the latest at this point to allow the pressure to equalize. If you no longer press the button, the sound will stop. Now you can carefully remove the bottle.

During carbonation, excess water may collect in the drip tray. You should regularly empty and clean the drip tray. Also, be sure to fill the bottle only up to the specified fill line before carbonating the water. Depending on the hardness of your tap water, the carbonation nozzle of the device may become calcified. To clean it, unscrew the nozzle from the device and place it in a bowl of warm water with some vinegar cleaner or citric acid for a few minutes. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for the precise dosage of these cleaners. While the carbonation nozzle is unscrewed, you can also clean the seal of the nozzle and remove any lime residues. To do this, take a soft cloth, moisten it with diluted vinegar cleaner or citric acid, and thoroughly wipe the seal. To ensure long-lasting enjoyment of your water carbonator, clean it regularly. Use only mild dish soap and lukewarm water for this. To reduce the calcification of the carbonation nozzle, we recommend using BRITA filtered water.

Since PET plastic is not indefinitely durable and can deteriorate after some time of use, you should not use the bottles for carbonation for more than 24 months. The bottles are subjected to high pressure during carbonation. Therefore, you must ensure that you do not exceed the period of use. Additionally, temperature fluctuations and external influences can also affect the material. After 24 months, you can still continue to use the bottles, just not for carbonation.

First, check if the carbonation button is stuck. If that's not the case, check if the CO2 cylinder is properly and tightly inserted. If you're not sure, remove it by hand and tighten it again. Do not use tools to avoid damaging the valve. If it still doesn't work, contact our customer service.

We recommend using only BRITA sodaONE bottles for the BRITA sodaONE, and for sodaTRIO and sodaTRIO pro, use the respective glass and stainless steel bottles. They fit perfectly, and we can only guarantee compatibility with these bottles. If you need replacement bottles, you can purchase them here in the shop or from retailers. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a perfect fit for bottles from other brands. Also, please do not use glass bottles with the BRITA sodaONE. Due to the open device design, there is a risk of injury in case of a bottle explosion. The use of stainless steel drinking bottles with the sodaONE is not recommended, as the sharp-edged material at the bottle neck can damage the device's seal. Please do not use sodaONE PET bottles for sodaTRIO and sodaTRIO pro. BRITA is not liable for damages resulting from the use of bottles from other manufacturers in combination with our water carbonators.

The open design of our BRITA sodaONE has the advantage that only the carbonation nozzle and its seal can become calcified, if at all. If this happens, follow these steps: 1. Unscrew the carbonation nozzle from the device and place it in a bowl. 2. Use common household citric acid or vinegar cleaner. 3. Fill the amount of warm water into the bowl as indicated on the packaging. 4. Let the solution sit for a few minutes, as described on the packaging. 5. Meanwhile, moisten a soft cloth with the diluted citric acid or vinegar cleaner. 6. Wipe the seal of the carbonation nozzle thoroughly to remove any lime deposits. 7. Rinse the nozzle well under warm water after the exposure time and screw it back tightly into the carbonation device. To avoid calcification of the carbonation nozzle, we recommend filtering tap water with a BRITA water filter before carbonating.

The sodaTRIO pro is made of high-quality stainless steel, while the sodaTRIO is made of plastic with stainless steel elements such as the drip tray or bottle container. It's a matter of taste which design you prefer. Here is the link to the sodaTRIO pro.

Lift the CO₂ cylinder and reach under the base of the water carbonator. Unscrew the existing CO₂ cylinder counterclockwise. Screw in the new CO₂ cylinder clockwise.

If you want to carbonate water in your BRITA Stainless Steel Bottle 0.5 L, place the Bottle Base in the container beforehand. This compensates for the size difference with higher bottles such as the BRITA Stainless Steel Bottle 0.8 L.

No, the water carbonator cannot filter. At BRITA, we have many great filters you can use beforehand, such as BRITA Table Water Filters or BRITA Faucets with Filters. Simply turn on the tap for BRITA filtered water and fill your bottles for carbonation. Adjust your carbonation level individually with the push of a button, just the way you like your water. Delicious. Convenient. Sustainable.

The supplied sodaONE bottle fits into the water carbonator. If you want more bottles, you can buy additional bottles here in our online shop. The glass and stainless steel bottles from sodaTRIO and sodaTRIO pro do not fit into the sodaONE. Bottles from other manufacturers also do not fit into the sodaONE.

You can simply rinse out the bottle with lukewarm water. Fill with water up to the fill line and you're done. You can start bubbling.

Yes, please ensure that the bottles are not exposed to extreme temperatures. Store them at +5°C and max. +40°C - anything is possible, from the fridge to under a parasol on the beach.

The water tastes best fresh: please store it in the fridge for a maximum of two days.
